Sponsor a Woman's Business
When you become a sponsor, you help a courageous woman to open the door of opportunity, giving her the chance to broaden her skills, earn an income, and provide a dignified way of life for herself and her family.
Your commitment of $39.00 a month for one year, plus a one-time startup fee of $50, will see a woman through one year of participation in a Pangea cooperative. Each Kenya cooperative, made up of around 30 women, receives the majority of their training from local Pangea staff, including Dorothy Ombajo, an experienced human rights attorney and community organizer. During her year of participation, the woman you sponsor will receive leadership, rights awareness, and basic health training, along with microenterprise training in an area of her interest and skill base, ultimately raising her social and economic empowerment to a new level.
Once you have made your one year commitment, you will receive a letter with details of a cooperative participant and receive quarterly newsletters with an update on the women and cooperative as a whole.
