Staggering Statistics from our current areas of focus:
- Displaced populations, both refugees and IDPs, number over 42 million
- Of the 16 million refugees in the world today, 4.6 million are Palestinians
- 45.7% of the Palestinian population in the West Bank live below the poverty line
- Over 1 billion people in the world live on less than $1 a day
- There are 28 million people infected with HIV/AIDS in Africa alone
- 80% of rural Kenya does not have electricity
Recognizing these staggering statistics and attempting to understand the impact on the hearts and minds of those living through these crises, we confront conflict and poverty as an intolerable truth that mandates transformation.
Our beliefs:
- That empowering women is an integral part of positive change and that these changes extend to families, villages and entire communities
- That every dollar spent and every program administered by Pangea will show an effect a tangible benefit on the individual level
- That Pangea beneficiaries have the opportunity to become benefactors
- That race, creed, and religion shall not be barriers to the opportunity to grow and contribute to the community
