In July, The Pangea Network hosted its third Young Women’s Leadership Challenge with 26 high school girls from the Houston area. The young leaders learned everything from peace building and conflict-resolution to self-defense and financial literacy. The best part? Participants who needed help with enrollment were able to attend YWLC through full scholarships.

“The Young Women's Leadership Challenge made me realize that I want to help change some of the things happening in the world now,”

- YWLC camper Celine

We prepare our campers to be global citizens by providing education on human rights issues and promoting a service-based work ethic. Our globally-focused curriculum helps form young people leaders who can break through glass ceilings and mentor others to do the same.

Celine and other campers are connected with individuals in the Pangea Network all over the world, and also gain access to our alumni network. They extend the reach of Pangea with their diplomacy and ability to create positive change wherever adulthood takes them. After taking part in our program, Celine has gained the “tools for success and the leadership capabilities” to become a successful young leader in her community.

We are currently encouraging the YWLC alumnae to raise money in an effort to make a positive difference. Money raised by YWLC alumnae will give us the resources needed to continue the efforts in empowering women, youth, and communities in Kenya. A simple donation can make all the difference and we challenge all YWLC alumnae to contribute to the cause.
